The service was requested a few weeks after my surgery to transport me from the hospital to a recovery facility. My daughter followed the ambulance to our destination, was pleased that they were on time, courteous, treated me with respect, checked me in, carefully took me to my room.
This company is a fraud and they should be investigated for Medicaid fraud and abuse. They have been assigned to transport my mother on a stretcher twice to her drs appointment. Both times they were a nightmare.
Both times they were 45-50 min late, and they kept saying that they are already coming any minute.
My mother requires oxygen and I book a ride with oxygen. The dispatch conformed multiple times when I called them that they do carry oxygen tank for my mother. Both times they arrived without oxygen on board and could not explain what they did with the oxygen tank that they are supposed to bring.
The crew is rude and aggressive. Management are liars. When they are running late, they sweet talk you that they are coming, and they bringing oxygen with them. When they are late, and do not have oxygen, and patient is late to the drs appointment, they do not respond to your calls anymore.
I do not know how this fraudulent operation continues to work for and paid by Medicaid. They are stone cold crooks.
No show. They were supposed to come get me at 4:30-5 but they haven't arrived as of yet. I'm looking at all the bad reviews and I don't understand why they're still being used for Medicaid rides. They are absolutely Not dependable!!!!
MTI has had me consistently late for appointments for the last 6 months, or waiting for hours for return from trips. Their crews are nice, but they are absolutely horrible with scheduling and dispatch. Use another company! I just had to cancel a very important test because they just "didn't have a truck to take me" - 30 minutes before my appointment! They just didn't show up. This is not the first time. HORRIBLE!
Absolutely horrible! Waited 9 hours for a transport and then was told it would be another 2 hours.
My brother finally called them and was told it was contracted out to another company and they would be there is 10 minutes.
Thank you so much to the ladies from Tidewater Medical Transport for helping my mom!
