Mercy Medical Angel Wings helped me tremendously. The VA travel benefits refused to pay for my flight and my caregivers flight to Houston, TX from Oregon. The VA approved treatment and care of my service related injuries but not for travel. The cost of flight was a huge financial obstacle for my family. Without Angel Wings for Veterans I wouldn't have been able to afford the care. Thank you Mercy Medical Angels, yours was only resource for me and my family. Your coordinators did an outstanding job getting my family the support it needed when we needed it. Thank you so much.
Mercy Medical Angels was such a blessing to my family. We are from Hawaii and did not have the medical specialty for my son's needs and needed to travel to Denver for testing. Insurance did not cover our travel expenses. Mercy Medical Angels covered the airfare for my son and myself. Having one less financial burden during an already stressful time was such a relief and tremendous help. We are truly grateful for the help we received and for the kindness from the staff. Thank you!
Mercy Medical Angels have been helping me with ground transportation gas cards for over a year. The staff is wonderful and helps with my application every step of the way. If not for the gas cards I would not be able to make some of my out of state doctor's appointments. I appreciate everything they are and do!
Mercy Medical Angels is a great resource and help in time of need! As a Social Services Coordinator at Affordable Housing Apartments for Senior Citizens, it is my role to connect them with assistance. Long story short- one of our Residents who had Laryngectomy (voice-box) surgery had to travel to MD Anderson for Chemo & Radiation Treatment every day for several months. He informed me that he drove himself in his truck and it was costing him $160.00, 2 fill-ups per week. This added financial cost was difficult to meet... so we did online research and I contacted ACS to ask for a list of resources for medical transportation/gas card assistance; the list included Mercy Medical Angels. The online application process including ability to scan required documents was easy and their response was relatively prompt. And whenever I emailed, they always answered my questions quickly. My Resident is so grateful for the help Mercy Medical Angels sent him to ease his financial burden.
