I used them before and service was great. So when I need to go in for an outpatient surgical procedure they were my first choice. I booked online, got a call from them that they could do it and got an email to pay. After paying, got a call verifying the service date and time. The night before got a call confirming the time(9:30am), pickup address and delivery location. The gentleman that called promised to see me in the morning.
I needed to be at the hospital by 11am. 9:30 came and went and they didn't show up. Tried calling them, went straight to voicemail. Also tried to text, email and chat with them. By 11am they still hadn't come. Between my husband and I we called 15-20 times, never got a person. Luckily I was able to get into the car(uncomfortable) and we drove to the hospital. Needless to say I will NOT use them anymore.
THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY. If you need to cancel a procedure (and thus the transportation), and you cancel WEEKS before the appointment (i.e., within plenty of time), THEY DO NOT REFUND YOUR DEPOSIT. THEY JUST BLOW OFF YOUR CALLS/TEXTS/EMAILS AND DO NOT RESPOND. THEY VANISH. WITH YOUR MONEY!! REVOLTING AND SHAMEFUL!! Wish I could give ZERO stars they did NOTHING for me but STEAL MY MONEY!
The worst service ever. I called for transportation for my 90 yo dad to go to a very critical dr appt. I told them my dad cant walk up the stairs so I needed someone who could carry him or find a way to get him up the stairs. I also said we had to leave by 11am at the latest. They agreed there would be no problem. The next day, the driver didn't show up until 1125, was by himself, and told me he wad not aware that my dad needed help. I (63 yo woman) ended up having to struggle with the lone driver to get my dad upstairs in order to make this appt. After I returned home, multiple attempts to contact va transportation were ignored. They have no customer service and are double the price if similar ones I have used since.
Our experience yesterday with VA Transportation Healthcare was fantastic! It was very easy to schedule our appointment. The team showed up on time and efficiently handled all aspects from loading us to delivering us safely at our destination. The team stayed in contact with us and skillfully handled our return trip. We definitely will use VA Transportation Healthcare again and again!
This company STOLE $1559 from us. We arranged transportation as we were desperate to get my wheelchair bound mother to her husband’s funeral upon realizing the original company we hired was not going to show up. BUT we cancelled the trip exactly 10 minutes after arranging it. Their driver had not even left their origination point! In trying to assuage, we offered a full $300 for the situation. The owner refused and wants the full $1559. All this without providing any service at all or even being inconvenienced in any way. If you’re reading this VA Transportation Health Care, you need to refund the money right away! You are a preferred company at a very popular assisted living center and we are fully prepared to spread the word to the 300 residents there to never use you again. Obviously, from the other reviews, like Alan Pearson’s, this has happened before. This is not a reputable company and quite dishonest. We ARE prepared to file a lawsuit and have already hired a lawyer. Refund please or you’ll find yourself wasting a lot of your time!
