This morning the bus drove past the kids at the bus and never came back to pick them. I drove my daughter to school this morning. No one at the transportation office answers the phone Ive been calling since 8:00 am this morning. Does anyone know who I can’t report this to? The kids were left at the bus stop alone. This is not safe.
CCPS Transportation is completely incompetent. Instead of using common sense to create safe and efficient routes, they rely entirely on computer-generated software that spits out ridiculous paths with no regard for the actual safety of children.
We live five minutes from the school, yet my child is forced onto a 35-minute morning bus ride that takes them away from the school, through busy commercial zones, and even onto Highway 288. This is absolutely unnecessary, unsafe, and reckless.
CCPS Transportation does not take into consideration the safest options—only what the computer routing system tells them. No parent should have to sit back while their elementary-aged child is routed onto highways and through high-traffic areas when simple, direct neighborhood routes exist.
Unable to reach anyone at the school transportation devision office or operator. My child’s bus was 30 minutes late yesterday. No call or text updates except for one for a totally different bus in another school district letting me know it is late. What a mess!
When will transportation get it right? Constantly changing bus drivers, buses and routes. No warning that the bus will be late in the morning. Not everyone works from home and have a time schedule. Then whoever plans the routes should maybe study the stops and see what’s better cause this route is ridiculous. And the app constantly says bus passed stop. Then for the bus driver to say she had no idea about this stop. Definitely not blaming the bus driver but how is it another school year and we are experiencing the same issues.
A new year but the same issues…how on the first day of school we are having the same issues…how??
The biggest waste of taxpayer money locally. App is always wrong and everything is never on time. No accountability and someone is getting paid over six figures to keep this problem all school year.
